This is to give you ideas what can you do with children in Prague with a guide or on your own. This tour is most suitable for children 6 - 12 years old.

Prague Castle - there is a special guided walk for children. Children will become the direct participants in the Story of the Prague Castle and will be fulfilling special tasks and missions (currently n/a).

Little Town (Mala Strana) - from "Ujezd" a cable car can be taken up to the "Petrin" hill or you can walk to the hill from the Castle District. The most funniest attraction here is a Mirror Maze. You can get lost with your children among the curved mirrors and have a good laugh looking at yourself. Then you can walk up the Petrin Tower and enjoy a spectacular view.

Charles Bridge - let your child have a wish .. Walk to the small cross situated on the banister of the bridge decorated by Baroque decorative grid and let their hand touch the cross having the wish. Must keep the wish in secret to become true! (see the picture on left). Then you can take one hour Boat Trip to Prague Venice from the Charles Bridge Museum and see this great museum as well.

Old Town (Stare Mesto) - Astronomical clock at the Old Town Square is a must. You can go up the Town Hall Tower and have great views of the Old Town winding streets. You can visit Chocolate Museum in Celetna 10 and see how the chocolate stuff is produced. A special Choclala game is prepared for the kids.

New Town (Nove Mesto) - see the St Wenceslas statue at the Wenceslas Square, walk to "Lucerna" passage and see St Wenceslas sitting on the horse upside down! and have some ice-cream sundae or a tasty cake at "Hajek" in "Svetozor" passage. You can also taste typical Czech open small sandwiches (chlebicky).

Duration: 7-8 hours including one hour for lunch. The tour can be customized based on your and children's needs.

Price: 1190 CZK (approx. US$52) per hour for a group of 2-4 adult/children excl. entrance fees.

More children attraction in Prague:

  • Toy Museum features historical toys from 18th century and Barbie collection. Located in the Supreme Burgrave's House, Prague Castle.

  • The largest model railroads in the Czech Republic covers three floors including most well-known landmarks in the country. You can find it in the Railway Kingdom. It is being gradually expanded.

  • Make your own  Marionettes

SUGGESTION for the evening:

- Visit Black Light Theatre features magical mixture of mime, modern dance, ballet, animated film, actors and/or puppets and light effects. Props are floating in the air.

- Enjoy dinner in an authentic Medieval tavern presenting live show of medieval music, dancers, fencers, fire spitter and juggler.
