ABOUT ME & REFERENCES
Dear Travelers,
Welcome to my pages. I am an officially licensed Tour Guide of Prague and the Czech Republic. I am also a holder of a special license for the Jewish Museum and a Certificate of Tourism Guide.
I was born and raised in the historical center of Prague having constantly learned about this splendid and mysterious place.
I have extensively traveled around the world and spent two years in the United States in California. I worked for many years in a multinational consulting company in finance.
I decided to
transform my long-term interest in history and art into a profession. I very much enjoy being a tour guide.
I look forward to showing you around and share my enthusiasm with you.
I
am currently guiding English speaking tourists however I can also speak
German
and Russian. I look forward to meeting you.
Eva
Dear Eva,
Hi Eva - Thanks again for a wonderful tour. I truly enjoyed every second of it! You did a great job and I found your city fascinating and magical. I can't wait to return! When I do, you'll be the first person I contact! Next trip I want to visit Cesky Krumlov too! ...
Eva - Thank you for
the introduction to the City of 100 (475) Spires. Amy and I thoroughly
enjoyed your tour. Your passion for Prague comes through in your
delivery. We found ourselves referencing your comments and insights for
the rest of our trip. ... We so enjoyed meeting and talking to you. Your tour was so interesting and you could see that even Michael was interested in all of the details... Susan Esserman, Washington, DC
... I had a wonderful time, especially meeting you and touring some of the sites in Prague. You are a very professional and knowledgeable guide, and are also very personable, which made the two days I spent with you the best part of my trip. The opera and ballet performances were superbly done, and very emotional for me. After your help, I was able to use the trams and metro enough to figure out how to get around without using the map and compass all the time: also, to find some good small restaurants and order real Czech food, including dumplings, and to recognize different kinds of architecture. I would recommend you without qualification to anyone needing a personal guide in Prague.
Eva: What a wonderful two days in Praha !!! We all enjoyed every minute of each of the tours, you really did a exceptional job and exceeded my expectations. Your knowledge of the history of the city is remarkable and only surpassed by your knowledge not only of the Jewish quarter, but the Jewish faith and customs. How lucky we were to have found you ! If you ever visit the US, we would love to see you. Again , many many thanks for a really special weekend. Ed Pescatore, Philadephia
Dear Eva: Thank you for the wonderful personal tour of Prague. We saw things we did not have seen on a regular tour. Because of you we have said that if we come to Prague again (and we hope to) we will look into staying in Lesser Town and using your services to explore other areas. We'll also make sure it is for eight hours, not just four! Brad Zemcik, California
Dear Eva, I cant tell you how much we enjoyed our time with you. Your expertise made our trip to the Czech republic GREAT!!!!. I cant thank you enough. I also really enjoyed hearing about czech politics and life both before and after the soviets. My kids thought you were awesome. Our last day, we thought about calling you up again for another day with the Warren family, but we thought you probably needed a break.. Hi Eva - I want to thank you for such a wonderful and interesting trip while we were visiting your country - certainly Terezin is a sad place but as we talked about, it is so important to see it and learn about it - we loved Kata and the food was perfect - you really helped to make our trip memorable - if we ever get back to Prague we will contact you - I will certainly tell anyone I know who is going to look you up - Thanks again - Maureen Dear Eva, We can't thank you enough for the tour you gave us. You made our trip! We learned so much about Prague and we really hope we can visit again and spend more time in the Czech Republic. Prague is such a beautiful city with such an incredible history. You really gave us quite a history lesson. We loved all the churches, the art, architecture, cobblestone streets, squares, and the people of Prague. ( the Praguers!) Everywhere we walked was lovely! Our afternoon in the Jewish Quarter was unforgettable. You have given us much to absorb and think about. Best regards to you and thank you for sharing your city with us. Annette and Larry Elrod, California
Dear Eva, We want to thank you again - so much - for making our visit to you beautiful Praha so extra special. Your obvious love of what you do, made every aspect of your city both old and new, come to life. Your obvious and sincere respect for our Jewish heritage, coupled with your extensive knowledge gave us a wonderful tour of the Jewish Museum area. You managed to compress several hundred years of history into a few hours. Terezin must be visited and we truly appreciated your sensitive handling of such an emotional experience. We loved our visit to Ustek.
You are a special lady Eva and we feel privileged to have met you and had you as our guide during this unforgettable visit to your amazing city. We hope to meet again one day. We will certainly recommend you as a superb tour guide to anyone that we know, who may visit Prague. Michael and Linda Ruskin, Toronto, Canada.
Hi, Thanks so much for the tour we all really enjoyed it and want to return to Prague in the future for a longer stay. Your tour really helped us begin to understand the history of the city. If you are ever in North Carolina please let us know we would be happy to show you our little town and it's little history (200 years). Eric Kolb, North Carolina
Dear Eva, Beautiful Prague was, without a doubt, the highlight
of our trip. A great deal of our enjoyment should definitely be
attributed to you and to your excellent guidance. We could feel and
sense your love of Prague (and of the Czech Republic), its history,
culture and architecture and we were very appreciative of the time we
spent together and of what we have seen and learned through your
knowledge, including your excellent recommendations of the best beer
and (local) restaurants. We will not hesitate to recommend you to our
friends as the preferred guide in Prague. Thanks and all the best,
Moshe Zarmi, New York. Dear Eva, Joan and I are very grateful to you for guiding us in what is surely one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring cities in the world. Thank goodness it was spared from the ravages of World War II! We join your many clients in applauding your fluency in English (even idiomatic), your knowledge of the city and its multiple attractions (including restaurants), your patience and your attention to our needs and wishes. Although hard-of-hearing, Joan had no trouble understanding your comments and observations, and you set a pace she was able to handle comfortably. You proved that an individually guided tour has many advantages over a group sight-seeing junket that necessarily has to satisfy many people at once and cannot address and adjust to the limited physical capabilities of some of us. You added immeasurably to our enjoyment of the city and all it has to offer. Our only regret was that we had to leave after two days, an all too brief visit - but we hope to return soon! Our best and warmest regards, Joe Rosenthal, Delaware
Dear Eva Thank you so much for your help while we were in Prague, you made our stay in Prague very special. We must also thank you for the special attention and consideration you showed Mackenzie (age 7) and Cooper (age 3). Anyone who has traveled with young children knows that you need to be extremely flexible to survive - and you were fantastic with them, and thank you for the children's gifts, very nice gesture. Mackenzie is still reading and learning about Prague. We enjoyed your knowledge and how you explained this. We also appreciate the insight you gave us into life through the communist times. Prague really surprised us - was so much more than we expected and this is in part down to you. So thank you again, you really made our trip to Prague one to remember. We have attached a few photos. Regards Aaron, Anna, Mackenzie & Cooper, Australia
Dear Eva, We are home safe and sound and full of so many wonderful memories of Prague and our times touring with you. We all agree Prague would have been a much lesser experience without your expertise and we all learned so much from you about your beautiful city and country. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us and making our trip such a special one. If we are ever fortunate enough to return we will call you again and we have already passed your name on to friends who may become future clients. Here's hoping that 2009 brings you only good things. Fondly, Beth and Paul Fraim, Norfolk, VA
Dear Eva, We had a wonderful week in Prague, and we thank you for making it special. We appreciate not only your knowledge and helpfulness, but also your frankness and honesty. We followed your suggestion and enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the Lobkowizc Palace, including the concert there. We hope to return to Prague and would love to have you show us some of the sights just outside the city. Perhaps in a year ot two, and perhaps when the weather is a little more comfortable! We will be sure to contact you and will recommend your services to anyone we know who is going to Prague. Sincerely, Diane and John Alexanderson, Pennsylvania
Hi Eva Now we are all back home after a superb break in Prague I must write on behalf of us all to say a big big thank you for your tour on Friday. It was brilliant and I know that all of us thoroughly enjoyed the day. Thank you very much for putting up with us and I hope that your tours go from strength to strength. Many thanks again Tony Stone, Bristol, UK
Eva: Thank you very very much again for the excellent tour and the effort you put into helping us see the very best of your city in two days. Priscilla and I wish you the very best in the future and good fortune in your guide activities. Gene Galberts, Washington
Eva, We had such a wonderful time with you and appreciate the knowledge, thoughtfulness and sensitivity that you brought to the tour. We learned so much from you, which was a big factor in our falling in love with your city! Also, you helped us get a good orientation and gave great tips. We learned so much from you and Gabby (Budapest) that I am a convert when it comes to private tours in new cities. Thank you so much for a special day! Please stay in touch, and let me know if you ever head towards the states. I would be happy to return the favor if you visit the east coast. Regards, MJ Graves, Conshohocken, PA
Hi Eva, We really enjoyed your guiding. It was great. We learned things from you we wouldn't have in a group or on our own. Your knowledge and history is amazing. We have bragged about you to whoever would listen. And we would recommend you to anyone needing guide services in Prague. We went back to the monastery the next day, too. We also hit the shop where the nuns sell their items. We got some great stuff. And also we didn't use the tram tickets--man, that walk down was amazing!!!! We did it twice! I have to say Prague is the most magnificent Europe city I have seen. Thanks again for everything. Ann Chihak Poff, San Francisco, CA
Hello Eva Thank you again very much for your excellent tour of Prague last Friday. It gave us a real insight into your city for which your enthusiasm and passion was contagious. A hope you enjoy your stay in London over Christmas and if you have time I would recommend you try and visit Hampton Court. I looked up London's oldest bridge and it is Westminster Bridge which was built between 1739 and 1750, some 400 years after your own Charles Bridge. If Lynn or I can be of any help during your stay do please contact us. Kind Regards and best wishes. Paul Gurney, London, UK
Eva, Thanks again for a wonderful time in Prague. You were a great guide and we had so much fun exploring Prague and the surrounding countryside with you. We will certainly be giving you our highest recommendation to all our friends. We especially enjoyed your insight into the history of Prague and the Czech Republic, as well the local restaurants and pubs we visited with you. It was just a wonderful four days, and we will be back! Please feel free to use our recommendation on your website if you like. I am enclosing some photos as well. Our Warmest regards, Gary, Faye, Joe and Judy , Tennessee
Hi Eva,
Hello Eva ...
Adrienne and I wanted to again thank you for the great day we spent
together in Prague. You not only really helped us understand the
very interesting history (both ancient and recent), but you helped give
us a unique feel for the city. Our day with you was not only
interesting, however, but also lots of fun..
Hi Eva, Once back home, to work and to daily life, we recall the memories of Prague that you made so interesting, balancing lightness with depth and learning with joy. Thank you very much for your knowledge and kindness, Betty and Victor
Eva, Thank you so much for a fantastic afternoon, Paul and I both learned so much from you, and you gave us probably a hundred different topics for conversation over meals together. And for that I am especially thankful, as a father, when someone gives you great topics to have intellectual conversations and debates with your children, that is a wonderful gift. Thank you so much, David, CA
